“Smooth Talk” seemed to imply that what girls really desire is to bloom into young women which is quite an insight for a male audience.
“Soul Man” showed it is a white man’s world, but whites must appreciate the black reality on the ground floor.
“Escalier C.” ala “Staircase C” proved again that one’s company can change one for the better, or worse.
