Antiochian archbishop visits

2007. The head of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of Australia and New Zealand visited Canterbury and Dunedin last weekend to meet with church leaders here. Archbishop Paul Saliba is from Sydney and visits New Zealand every year depending on the need, said New Zealand dean and archpriest Father Jack Witbrock. He visited Auckland and Christchurch for ordinations last year. There are 25 parishes and missions across Australia and some 37,500 faithful in the Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia, New Zealand, and Oceania.
